We are in the final home stretch (11 days til d-day) but the days seem to be going slower by the minute. I am becoming so anxious to meet him and have him here on the outside instead of on the inside but he is pretty comfy where he is and as of now there is no sign he will be making his debut anytime soon. As of Thursday I was 70% effaced but not dilated at all and while I have been contracting at night, they aren't regular nor strong enough to indicate labor. I am becoming increasingly uncomfortable, have begun to retain water, am not sleeping and even my maternity clothes have become too small. It's also become more difficult to make it to work before 9 and working a full day is almost impossible. I have another Dr. appointment on Friday and am hoping to show some progress but I have convinced myself that I am going to need to be induced a week after my due date just so I am not disappointed. (There is a new Utah law that they won't induce a first baby until you are a week late) I know P will come when he is ready but his mama is impatient and operation eviction is officially underway!
As far as everything else goes, we are totally ready to welcome this little guy into our lives (minus a few last minute work things and a carpet cleaning). Thanks to our incredibly generous friends, family and co-workers, Parker (and I) have everything he could ever need or want and feel so blessed that we are surrounded by so many amazing people who love this little guy so much. We just can't wait for him to finally be here to meet everyone and are looking forward to the miracle of his birth and finally welcoming him into our family after a very long 4 year wait...
So, whenever you are ready buddy, we are here to welcome you into our lives with a full heart and hugely open arms. We love you more than you could ever know and can't wait for you to turn our world upside down and turn us into a family of 3. If you want to come sooner than later though, I would be ok with that. ;)
