Have I ever expressed how much I love, love, love, love, love the holidays? They make me so excited I can hardly contain myself!
My holidays officially began today thanks to Starbucks. Not only do the holidays at Starbucks mean the return of Christmas Blend coffee, cranberry bliss bars and the addition of a new drink; the Caramel Brulee Latte; they mean fun Christmas decor and the use of the word wish, my most favorite word in the entire English language. It just made me happy to be alive and although I was exhausted when I woke up this morning after a full day of work, cooking and cleaning yesterday in preparation for Bunco tonight, I perked right up. Thanks Starbucks for putting me in the holiday spirit!
I love everything that has to do with the holidays and this year I am especially excited because we are having two Thanksgivings, one on Sunday and one on actual Turkey Day so we can spend it with both Rod's family and my mom's. My mom told me a few months ago that she doesn't know anyone who loves Thanksgiving as much as I do and it's true, because I don't either. I don't know what it is, if it's the amazing food, the fact that I get to spend it with my big extended family who I love, the shopping, or if it's because it's the one trip I count on every year to be together with my parents and brothers. Something is magical about Thanksgiving though and I just love it!
Then after Turkey Day comes and goes, my most fave holiday is upon us. I love Christmas so much and everything that comes with it. I love to wrap and give gifts (I think because my love language is gifts), decorate, shop and reflect on the amazing friends and family I am lucky enough to have in my life. Mah Be even spent 9 hours and risked his life to put Christmas lights on our house because he knows how much I love the holiday season.
This year I am super excited because not only do I get to finally decorate and celebrate in a home I absolutely love, but we are having a Schlumni Alumni EX party, attending actual work Christmas parties, the Ugly Sweater Party, Progressive Dinner, multiple family parties, not to mention fondue and Christmas Day and New Years Day feasts. I truly love the traditions Mike and I have and while this holiday season is already super busy, it's doing things we absolutely love to do which is spend it with the people who mean the most to us.
All of this rambling post thanks to Starbucks! Seriously though, I am just beaming with excitement for them to begin! Happy holidays everyone :)
