58 Days...

In 58 days I will be here...
I seriously can't wait.  I am craving the sun, the sand, the pool, some frozen drinks (non alcoholic of course!), a few good books and just mah be, baby and me.  August 25 can't come soon enough!

Bump Ahead!

Mike and I are thrilled to share that after a very quiet round of IVF, Baby Ricci is due to arrive on 2/16/13.  We heard and saw the heartbeat this morning and it was the most incredible experience of our lives.  After all of the heartache and days spent waiting for our little one, the magic of our little one's heartbeat made every bit of this journey worth it.  We couldn’t be more thrilled and feel so blessed to have the support of such an amazing family and friends.  The Dr. told us that the heartbeat is very strong and that this is the best outcome he could have asked for.  Thanks so much for all your thoughts, prayers and heartfelt messages; knowing we had people behind us made getting through this trial possible.

Such a cute little peanut already!  Mike and I both have a hunch it's a girl but we won't be able to find out for 10 more weeks.  For now we are just enjoying that in 8 short months, we will be a family of three.  We can't wait.
XOXOX....
Mike, Lauren and Baby Ricci :)

06.16.07

I had an amazing photographer and I love the emotion that these photos evoke.  After 4 years of working on this album with my photographer Tiffanie, we finally received the final product on our anniversary last year.  I still completely love it and I finally figured out how to upload the album pages to my blog so figured since it was just our anniversary, I thought it was a good time to post it.  We really did have the most incredible wedding and I am so glad we can remember all of the amazing moments thanks to technology.  I especially love that we included the lyrics to the song I walked down the aisle to, our wedding vows and the lyrics of the Sigma Chi Sweetheart song.

While I may have figured out how to upload the pictures, I haven't figured out how to remove the Copyright water mark so just pretend it's not there :)

5 years...

5 years ago I said "I do" to my best friend and 5 years later, I love him more than the day I married him. We have been faced with some trials, have experienced some amazing places together, have grown to appreciate the other person more than we ever thought possible and have fallen more in love with each other with each passing day. While this year has been full of heartache as we have tried to bring Baby Ricci into this world, this difficult time has actually brought us closer together and strengthened our unbreakable bond. We truly know that the past 5 years of laughter, pain, friendship, experiences and memories has deepened our love for one another and we have become a better couple, better individuals and will be better parents because of the time we have been able to spend together and the hardships we have overcome as one. I really love this man and feel blessed to know that each day I wake up is another day I get to spend with him. Love is truly an amazing thing...

For our 5 year anniversary, Mike went over and beyond and it was by far the best anniversary we have ever had. We spent the day in Midway just enjoying the beautiful scenery and one another and the night at the Zermatt spa. We discovered the small town of Midway, ate at a delicious Mexican restaurant Tarahumara, took a ride up the canyon into the Wasatch Mountains where we decided we want to own a cabin someday and watched our wedding video, a tradition we started on our first anniversary. We then spent Sunday on the Homestead golf course and while I played horribly, I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else. It was nice to have some time just being us and we couldn't have asked for a better anniversary. We are looking forward to many more years, memories and anniversaries together and look forward to what year 5 has to bring...

For some reason I was obsessed with these and they were everywhere!

I love looking at these photos and remembering the bliss we had as we became husband and wife.  It really was a perfect day.

Blog Fail...

Lately I have been BUSY.  Somehow I went down to one job, took a volunteering sabbatical and deleted Facebook and still have no time to blog. Now don't get me wrong, I am not complaining that I don't have time to blog because I have been doing super fun things such as celebrating our 5 year anniversary in beautiful Midway, going camping with some of my favorite peeps, watching sweet Avaya, some fun girl dinners and spending a lot of time in the sun by golfing and taking advantage of the long evenings .  We also have done some not-so-fun things like powerwashing and organizing the garage as well as yardwork and finishing some projects.  I recently also just took on an additonal role at work so my days at work are extra full, but I am really enjoying the new challenge.  I really want to be better about documenting our life together so I don't forget, so hopefully I get more time and motivation to blog, but beware, some really old events may be making their way onto the blog soon.  In the meantime, I leave you with a iPhone pic from our perfect 5 year anniversary, as well as the incredible 5 year anniversary/can't have a baby gift my incredibily generous and loving husband gave to me.  I really am so lucky to share my life with such an amazing man, have wonderful, supportive and thoughtful friends and a job that enriches my life and challenges me each day.

After some problems with my original ring and a raving review from Mike's brother Steven about how great Shane Company is, we went there and I fell in love with this wedding set.  We bought it in April, but Mike wouldn't let me have it until June 16th, which is the day we said I do 5 years ago.  Even though it's a new setting, it's still the diamond Mike proposed with and I really am in love... both with my new ring and mah amazing be.  Life is pretty amazing right now.
P.S. Mike bought me a Coach purse for my birthday and we noticed a few weeks ago that the leather was wearing on the bottom of it.  We stopped by the Coach outlet on our way to Midway to see if there was a way to fix it and instead of trying to sell me a leather care kit or a new bag, they instead just exchanged my purse for a brand new one.  Such awesome customer service and I left feeling like a valued and important customer.  A good brand really does go a long way and I am now a Coach customer for life!
Happy weekend everyone!
